Flock of Ibis
I shot this near Sullivan's Island, SC. Someone spooked the birds and I had just a few seconds to raise my camera and get off 3 images. I used my 40D and a Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens which is extremely sharp at all focusing distances.

White Ibis
I found this guy on my way home. He was standing on the sidewalk but moved closer to the woods when I approached him. Then, he decided to pose for me by lifting his leg and turning his head.

More Dragonflies
I found a little trick photographing dragonflies. If they fly away, most of the times they'll come back and light on the same branch that they left. When that happens, I move in a little closer until I'm at the distance needed to shoot them closeup. They will get used to you being there and will stay as long as you want them to.
